Clock tower in the Garrison Savannah. (E.Jones/BGIS)??

Motorists have been advised that the access road to the Clock Tower, from its entrances at Hastings and Bush Hill, will be closed to vehicular traffic from Sunday, June 10, to Friday, June 15, with access only to residents and businesses in the area.

However, the road will be closed completely to all motorists on Wednesday, June 13, and will re-open that evening at 8:00 p.m. to residents.

An official from the Ministry of Family, Culture, Sports and Youth explained that the closure would allow for the setting up of the stages and technical requirements to enable the smooth production of the inscription ceremony for Historic Bridgetown and its Garrison on Wednesday, June 13, at the Garrison Savannah, beginning at 4:30 p.m.

The Ministry has apologised for any inconvenience this closure may cause and express thanks to the residents and public for their cooperation.
