Co-op Mart will continue this Saturday, March 16, on the grounds of the Barbados Transport Co-operative Society Limited at Durants, Christ Church, from 8.00 a.m. until 4.00 p.m.

It will feature various specialties, including farming produce, jewellery, plants, body and facial scrubs, juices and clothing.

Some of the entrepreneurs expected to display their innovations are:  Premium Treasures – locally made syrup and vinaigrette; Heritage Teas –  teas and cocoas, Froots A.D. – delicious fruit and vegetable juices, Nature by Raina – original body and facial scrubs, natural soaps, deodorants and lip balm; Adornments Jewelry – locally made handcrafted jewellery; A’s Cakes and Catering – pudding and souse, fishcakes, and drinks, including coconut water.

A farmer will also be present to offer an assortment of produce, such as tomatoes, carrots, cucumbers, plantains, pumpkin and more. Additionally, a new entrant to the market will be exhibiting various styles of clothing.

Co-op Mart is the brainchild of the Co-operatives Development Planning Committee, and is being held in collaboration with the Co-operatives Department of the Ministry of Small Business, Entrepreneurship and Commerce.
