The public is asked to note that the Colposcopy Department of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, which was temporarily closed for renovations for eight weeks, will return to its original location adjacent to the Antenatal Clinic.

Normal operations will resume from tomorrow, Wednesday, September 9, between 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

The project was funded by the Barbados Cancer Society through Globethon Barbados to End Women???s Cancer Fund.

The clinic will be renamed the GynaeCancer Diagnostic Unit during an official ceremony to be held shortly.The modernisation of the Colposcopy Department is designed to reduce the incidence of cervical cancer in women to zero percent.
