The Lester Vaughan Secondary School will be a hive of activity tomorrow, Wednesday, November 30, amidst other celebrations to mark this island’s 45th anniversary of Independence.

As part of an outreach programme, the St. Thomas Constituency Council will host an Independence Fun Day and Community Market on the Cane Garden school’s grounds from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

There will be art, craft, food, clothes, plants, vegetables and several other items on sale. In addition, representatives from health organisations will be on hand to conduct hypertension, diabetes and cholesterol checks. There will also be a number of activities for children.

The Council is encouraging the public to come out and participate in the community initiative which aims to provide a forum for local entrepreneurs and business persons to market and sell their goods and services.
