Members of the public are invited to participate in the discussion about the current trends impacting housing, transport and infrastructure in urban and rural Barbados at the upcoming Habitat III community meetings.

The first community meeting will be held at the Queen???s Park Steel Shed, Constitution Road, St. Michael, on Tuesday, July 21, while the second meeting will take place on Sunday, August 9, in the school hall at Queen???s College, Husbands, St. James.

Other meetings will be held on Wednesday, August 12, at the Alexandra School, Queen Street, Speightstown, and on Sunday, August 16 at the Princess Margaret Secondary School, Six Roads, St. Philip.

The final meeting will take place on Wednesday, August 19, in the church hall of the Christ Church Parish Church, Church Hill, Christ Church.??All meetings will begin at 5:30 p.m.

The contributions from the public will form part of the Habitat III proposal, which will detail plans for the next 20 years of urban and rural development in Barbados. A team from Barbados will present these plans at Habitat III, a major global summit which will be held in Quito, Ecuador, October 17 to 20, 2016.
