More Barbadians will be exposed to computer training, when the Community Technology Programme restarts on Monday, September 14.

The 13-week training initiative, which consists of Levels I and II courses, will be conducted at 15 resource centres across the island.

Computer courses will be held at Black Bess and Speightstown, St. Peter; Bonnetts, Grazettes, Deacons, Bush Hall and Haggatt Hall, St. Michael; and at Drax Hall and the Valley, St. George.

Lessons will also be conducted at Weston, St. James; Briar Hall, and St. Christopher, Christ Church; Rices and St. Marks, St Philip; and St. Elizabeth, St. Joseph.

Introductory computer courses will also be offered at St. Andrew’s Primary, St. Lucy Secondary, Mount Tabor Primary, St. Mary’s Primary, Irving Wilson and The Lester Vaughan Schools.

The use of select schools for the programme was made possible through a Ministry of Education and the Community Development Department (CDD) collaboration.

The CDD will also instruct participants in a number of Level II computer programmes.?? Courses such as Word and Power Point, Excel and Publisher, Access, Microsoft Outlook and the Internet will be offered.

Registration forms may be collected from all community and resource centres and from the CDD, 4th Floor, Warrens Office Complex, Warrens, St. Michael.
