With some 50,000 patrons expected to participate in next year’s Agro-fest, the island’s premier national agricultural exhibition, a call is being made for Corporate Barbados to lend its support to this worthwhile venture.

Agrofest Coordinator, Theodore Fraser, in thanking the faithful sponsors who had already confirmed their support for the February 27 to March 1 extravaganza, noted: “Pinnacle Feeds has once again taken our Platinum Sponsor package; the Barbados Manufacturer’s Association and Caribbean Cuizine have again confirmed Gold Sponsor packages, while the Barbados Government Information Service has confirmed a Bronze Sponsorship, as it has from the reintroduction of Agrofest.

“Sponsorship negotiations are ongoing and we would like to encourage Corporate Barbados to lend further support for the exhibition. Agrofest has grown from strength to strength and continues to demonstrate that Agriculture in Barbados is still vibrant. Furthermore, agriculture touches just about every sector in our community and therefore provides a perfect platform for Corporate Barbados to invest,” he added.

Meanwhile, Mr. Fraser said registration for exhibition space for Agrofest was continuing and interested persons or companies should contact the Agrofest Secretariat, C/o Barbados Agricultural Society, “The Grotto”, Beckles Road, St. Michael. Contact may be made by telephone at (246) 436-6683/4; fax: (246) 435-0651 or by email: HYPERLINK "mailto:agrofest@caribsurf.com" agrofest@caribsurf.com.

The Agrofest Coordinator stressed, however, that booth spaces for food and toys had already been filled.
