Persons shopping in Bridgetown on Saturday, December 1 – World AIDS Day, are being encouraged to participate in the Ministry of Labour and Social Security’s food drive.
Barrels will be placed in Super Style Shoe Shop at the Corner of James Street & Swan Street; Cave Shepherd on Broad Street; Woolworth on Prince William Henry Street, and Courts on St. George Street, Bridgetown.
The public may donate non-perishable food items, as well as personal hygienic products at these locations.
World AIDS Day activities will also take place in Independence Square, Bridgetown, where a concert will be held from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m.??
Ministry officials and volunteers will visit stores to sensitise customers and staff on HIV and AIDS, as well as Occupational Safety and Health.
