The St. Michael South Constituency Council is getting on board with the promotion of healthier living within the community.??????????

On Saturday, November 20, the Council will host a health fair on the grounds of the Garrison Secondary School, Paddock Road, St. Michael, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The fair, which is designed to bring awareness of the benefits of leading a healthy lifestyle, will include displays by the Vector Control Unit, the Barbados Cancer Society, PAREDOS, and the National Committee for the Prevention of Alcoholism and Drug Dependency, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The Diabetes Association will also be on hand to conduct health checks during this time.

From 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. there will be a games session, and persons will have the opportunity to participate in road tennis, hopscotch and a number of other sporting activities.

To culminate the day’s events, the National Task Force on Physical Activity and Exercise will conduct an exercise routine from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m.?? sharifa.medford@barbados.gov.bb
