Construction of the new Staple Grove Primary School is slated to begin this Wednesday, October 14, under the Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development’s Education Sector Enhancement Programme.

The facility, which will cost an estimated BDS $7,773,014.86 to build, is expected to accommodate students from the St. David’s and South District Primary Schools.??

It will comprise 38,000 square feet of floor space and will feature two single storey blocks in rectangular configuration.?? The new school which will house 24 classrooms, administrative offices, teaching and ancillary staff rooms, a computer lab, and storage areas.?? Provision has also been made for a full-sized playing field.??

When completed, the school is expected to accommodate some 630 students.?? Construction is expected to last for 52 weeks.??
