A number of faith-based organisations will meet next week with the Ministry of Health to examine the role of healthy lifestyle initiatives to their organisations.

This will be during a one-day consultation at Sherbourne Conference Centre on Wednesday, July 23 that will be held in conjunction with the National Chronic Non-communicable Diseases Commission and the Pan-American Health Organisation (PAHO).  The meeting will be held from 8:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

A key aim of the dialogue is to assist churches and other religious organisations developing sound health and wellness programmes to address the needs of their members as the country responds to chronic non-communicable and lifestyle related diseases currently afflicting the population.
