Tourism workers are invited to participate in the Barbados Together Continuous E-learning Programme, a series of webinars designed to help them upgrade or refresh their skills during the downtime caused by COVID-19.

The sessions, which were organised by the Human Resources Development sub-committee of the Barbados Recovery Tourism Task Force, were designed to equip participants with information and tools they could use protect themselves and their families during this period of uncertainty.

They can also be used as an opportunity to achieve certification and to help the island improve its overall service quality and product offerings.

On Friday, June 5, interested persons are invited to join the Island Jam House Party for Tourism Employees, which will be hosted by a popular DJ, a mixologist and top soca artistes.

The session on Monday, June 8 is entitled: Managing your Personal Finances. It will be hosted by finance experts, Melinda Belle and Cheryl Corbin.

Then on Wednesday, June 10, Norma Shorey of Catalyst Consultants will host a webinar on the topic, Leading in Times of Crisis: COVID-19 & Beyond, where attendees will be taught new techniques on team leadership.

Finally on Friday, June 12, participants will learn about Maintaining your Physical and Mental Health with Rev. Anderson Kellman and Mentor and Coach, Ian Blanchard.

There will also be an exercise demonstration led by a guest gym instructor. For more information, or to indicate interest in the webinars, persons are asked email barbadostogether@bhta.org.
