The Countess of Wessex (FP)??

Her Royal Highness, The Countess of Wessex, paid a visit to the Albert C Graham Development Centre today, where she interacted with a number of special needs children.

Coordinator of the Centre, Annil Osolo, welcomed the Countess to the school, and explained that there were currently 3,704 children enrolled at the institution.?? Ms. Osolo also gave an overview of the services offered, which include developmental pediatrics, medical services for young adults, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, psychology, speech and language therapy, audiology and social work.

Early stimulation day care services are offered to children from three months to six years of age. Our Education Unit caters to children from six years to 16 years, while the workshop provides training in functional Mathematics and English, Woodwork, Arts and Crafts, Computer and social skills to young adults 16 to 20 years of age,??? she said.

??Ms. Osolo then led the Countess on a tour of the Centre, where Her Royal Highness visited the Office of the Development Pediatrician; the Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Education, Workshop, and Day Care Units.?? She was accompanied by Coordinating Minister of the Royal Visit, Dr. Esther Byer Suckoo; Minister of Health, Donville Inniss; Acting Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Anton Best and Senior Medical Officer of Health (South) Dr. Elizabeth Ferdinand.

After visiting with children at the Centre, the Countess was treated to a brief entertainment programme by students of the Education and Workshop Units.??
