Barbados recorded two COVID-19 related deaths on the evening of Thursday, September 30.

They are a 79-year-old female, who passed away in the primary isolation section at the Harrison’s Point Isolation Facility, where she had been a patient for 22 days, and an 81-year-old male, who died at the Accident and Emergency Department. Both had comorbidities and were unvaccinated.

Their deaths bring to 78 the number of lives lost to the viral illness.

Minister of Health and Wellness, Lieutenant Colonel Jeffrey Bostic, extends condolences to the bereaved.
