Barbados recorded 17 new positive cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, April 28, from among 320 tests conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory.

The new positives comprise two females and 15 males. Additionally, there were nine recoveries while 92 people remain in isolation.

There have been 3,855 confirmed cases of COVID-19 (1,872 females and 1,983 males) since the first case was diagnosed in March, last year.  A total of 3,768 people have recovered from the virus. Forty-four people have died from COVID-19.

The public health laboratory has conducted 153,036 tests, to date. Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, 73,931 vaccinations – 30,558 men and 43,373 women – have been administered.
