Eighty-six females and 89 males are the latest COVID-19 cases. The Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory conducted 2,085 tests on Saturday, September 25.

Of the 175 new cases, 43 persons are under the age of 18, and 132 are 18 years and older. There are 1,037 patients in isolation.

Three persons passed away on Saturday. They were all females, aged 50, 66, and 84, who had comorbidities and were unvaccinated. 

Barbados has recorded 7,576 confirmed cases (3,736 males and 3,840 females) of the viral illness, and 67 deaths, as at Saturday. The public health laboratory has performed 308,840 tests.

A total of 132,267 first doses have been administered under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19. To date, 101,857 persons, which represents 37.6 percent of the population, have received their second dose and are fully vaccinated.
