The number of COVID-19 recoveries in Barbados has risen to 3,060, as 58 persons were released from isolation on Wednesday, March 10.

Meanwhile, 19 new cases – seven males and 12 females – were identified out of the 746 tests conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory. Eight of these persons were already at the Harrison Point Isolation Facility undergoing assessment.  There are now 275 active cases on the island. 

The total confirmed cases are 3,372, comprising 1,600 females and 1,772 males. Thirty-seven persons have died from the viral illness. To date, the laboratory has conducted 132,108 tests.

Additionally, 380 persons were vaccinated on Wednesday, under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19.  A total of 50,263 vaccinations have been administered to 21,127 males and 29,136 females.
