Barbados continues to see a decline in COVID-19 cases.

Four new cases, two men and two women, were identified out of the 619 tests carried out by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory on Thursday, April 8.

Three persons were released from isolation, bringing the number of recoveries to 3,579. There are 100 persons in isolation.

The island has recorded 3,708 confirmed cases since the start of the pandemic, comprising 1,797 females and 1,911 males. There have been 44 deaths.

The public health laboratory has so far conducted 145,227 tests. To date, 64,645 vaccinations have been administered – 26,662 males and 37,983 females.
