Four persons – three males and one female – were diagnosed with COVID-19 on Sunday, May 9, while five people have recovered.
The new positives were identified from the 662 tests conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory. Meanwhile, 104 persons are in isolation.
Barbados has recorded 3,946 confirmed cases of COVID-19 (1,906 females and 2,040 males) and 3,861 recoveries since March last year. Forty-five people have died from the virus.
The public health laboratory has carried out 159,450 tests dating back to February 2020. Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, 75,491 people have been immunised (first and second doses). This figure includes 32,717 persons who have been fully vaccinated during the second phase of the programme.
