Five people, one male and four females, were diagnosed with COVID-19 on Wednesday, May 19.
The new positives were identified from the 466 tests conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory. Fifty-one people were in isolation on Wednesday.
There have been 3,980 confirmed COVID-19 cases (1,927 females and 2,053 males) since the start of the pandemic in March last year. Forty-seven persons have died from the virus.
The public health laboratory has conducted 164,406 tests, to date. There have been 76,136 people vaccinated against COVID-19 (first and second doses), with 49,374 of those individuals fully immunised under the National Vaccination Programme.
