The Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory recorded five new COVID-19 cases, two females and three males, from among the 1,272 tests conducted on Monday, July 5. There are currently 38 people in isolation.

Confirmed COVID-19 cases reported from the start of the pandemic have reached 4,096 – 1,985 females and 2,111 males. Forty-seven people have succumbed to the viral illness.

To date, 189,983 tests have been carried out by the public health laboratory. Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, 95,528 people have received first doses of the vaccine, while 71,494 persons have been given second doses and are fully vaccinated.
