The Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory identified nine new COVID-19 positive cases – four females and five males – on Monday, April 19, from the 494 tests conducted.

Meanwhile, 11 people recovered and were discharged. There are now 87 persons in isolation.

Since March 2020, there have been 3,793 confirmed COVID-19 cases (1,844 females and 1,949 males).  A total of 3,692 persons have recovered, while 44 people have died from the virus.

The public health laboratory has carried out 149,423 tests from February, last year. To date, 70,884 vaccinations – 29,244 men and 41,640 women – have been administered as part of the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19.
