The Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory identified five new cases of COVID-19 – two women and three men – on Sunday, March 28, from 240 tests conducted.

Meanwhile, 22 persons recovered and were released from isolation. There are currently 150 people in isolation.

Barbados has recorded 3,634 – 1,747 females and 1,887 males – and 3,444 people have recovered from COVID-19 since the pandemic began. The virus has claimed 41 lives.

Since February, 2020, the public health laboratory has conducted 140,015 tests. A total of 63,689 vaccinations have been administered – 26,325 men and 37,364 women during the first phase of the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19.
