The island recorded five positive COVID-19 cases on Thursday, from the 1,431 tests conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory.

They comprise two women and three men, and represent a mixture of locals and visitors. Additionally, eight persons were discharged, bringing the number of persons in isolation to 435.

To date, Barbados has recorded 785 confirmed cases – 336 females and 449 males. A total of 343 people have recovered from the viral illness. The public health laboratory has completed 80,488 tests.
