Sixty-six males and 88 females are Barbados’ latest COVID-19 cases. The Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory conducted 1,346 tests on Friday, November 26.

Of these 154 new cases, 19 are under the age of 18 and the remaining 135 are 18 years and older. There are 524 people in isolation facilities, and 3,379 others in home isolation.

Barbados has recorded 24,923 cases (11,894 males and 13,029 females) of the viral illness since the start of the pandemic. The number of lives lost to the virus, as at November 26, stands at 223. The public health laboratory has performed 433,518 tests, to date.

Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, the total number of persons with at least one dose is 153, 459 (67.2 per cent of the eligible population). The total number of persons who are fully vaccinated is 136,474 (50.4 per cent of the total population or 59.8 per cent of the eligible population). The eligible population represents those persons who are 12 years and older.
