Barbados recorded 155 new COVID-19 cases – 59 males and 96 females – from the 695 tests conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory on Monday, June 27.

Of this number, there were 18 persons under the age of 18, and 137 persons 18 years and older. There were 29 people in isolation facilities, and 1,046 in home isolation. The number of deaths from the virus remains at 473.

The public health laboratory has carried out 703,509 tests since February 2020, and recorded 83,975 COVID-19 cases (38,332 males and 45, 643 females).

Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, the total number of persons with at least one dose is 162,576 (71.2 per cent of the eligible population). 

The total number of persons who are fully vaccinated is 153,468 (56.6 per cent of the total population, or 67.2 per cent of the eligible population). The eligible population represents those persons who are 12 years and older.
