There were 49 new COVID-19 cases, 20 males and 29 females, recorded on Monday, September 19, from the 399 tests conducted by laboratories across the island.

The cases comprised nine persons under the age of 18, and 40 who were 18 years and older. The number of people in isolation facilities was 30, while 335 were in home isolation. As at September 19, there were 559 COVID-19 related deaths.

The laboratories conducted 762,542 tests since February 2020, and recorded 102,279 COVID-19 cases (46,245 males and 56,034 females).

Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, the total number of persons with at least one dose is 163,602 (71.6 per cent of the eligible population).  

The total number of fully vaccinated persons is 154,606 (57 per cent of the total population or 67.7 per cent of the eligible population).  The eligible population represents those persons who are 12 years and older.
