A total of 44 new COVID-19 cases (18 males and 26 females) were recorded on Sunday, June 26, from the 297 tests conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory. 

The new positives comprised 10 persons who are under the age of 18, and 34 who are 18 years and older. There were 27 people in isolation facilities, and 1,103 in home isolation.

Barbados’ confirmed COVID-19 cases now stand at 83,820 (38,273 males and 45,547 females), and the number of deaths is 473.

The public health laboratory has carried out 702,814 tests since February 2020. Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, the total number of persons with at least one dose is 162,566 (71.2 per cent of the eligible population). 

The total number of fully vaccinated persons is 153,453 (56.6 per cent of the total population or 67.2 per cent of the eligible population). The eligible population represents those persons who are 12 years and older.
