A total of 223 people, 101 males and 122 females, were identified as COVID-19 positive on Sunday, November 14, by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory. Tests conducted numbered 1,229.

The new positives comprised 42 persons who were under the age of 18, and 181 who were 18 years and older. There were 927 people in isolation facilities, and 7,419 in home isolation.

One person, a 64-year-old man, succumbed to the virus on Sunday, while at the Harrison’s Point Isolation Facility. He was unvaccinated.  As at November 14, 194 lives have been lost to the virus.

Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, the total number of persons with at least one dose is 151,799 (66.5 per cent of the eligible population).  The total number of persons who are fully vaccinated is 132,610 (49 per cent of the total population or 58.1 per cent of the eligible population).  The eligible population represents those persons who are 12 years and older.

The public health laboratory has carried out 415,129 tests since February last year and recorded 22,316 cases (10,695 males and 11,621 females) of COVID-19.
