Barbados recorded 411 new COVID-19 cases, 200 males and 211 females, from the 991 tests conducted on Tuesday, July 19, by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory.

Of the positive cases, 59 persons were under the age of 18, and 352 were 18 years and older. There were 49 people in isolation facilities, while 2,122 were in home isolation. As at July 19, there were 480 COVID-19 related deaths.

The public health laboratory has conducted 718,646 tests since February 2020, and recorded 88,565 COVID-19 cases (40,460 males and 48,105 females).

Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, the total number of persons with at least one dose is 162,834 (71.3 per cent of the eligible population).  

The total number of fully vaccinated persons is 153,842 (56.8 per cent of the total population or 67.4 per cent of the eligible population).  The eligible population represents those persons who are 12 years and older.
