There were 96 new COVID-19 cases, 44 males and 52 females, recorded from the 530 tests carried out by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory on Tuesday, June 14.

Of the positive cases, 23 persons were under the age of 18, and 73 were 18 years and older. The number of people in isolation facilities was 25, while 1,078 were in home isolation.

The Coroner’s Office reported that there were three additional COVID-19 related deaths which occurred in the community within the past two weeks. Therefore, 471 COVID-19 related deaths were recorded as of June 14.

The public health laboratory has conducted 695,574 tests since February 2020, and recorded 82,545 COVID-19 cases (37,620 males and 44,925 females).

Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, the total number of persons with at least one dose is 162,533 (71.2 per cent of the eligible population).  

The total number of fully vaccinated persons is 153,124 (56.5 per cent of the total population or 67 per cent of the eligible population). The eligible population represents those persons who are 12 years and older.
