A total of 147 new COVID-19 cases (87 males and 60 females) were recorded on Tuesday, June 21, from the 670 tests conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory. 

The new positives comprised 30 persons who are under the age of 18, and 117 who are 18 years and older. There were 21 people in isolation facilities, and 866 in home isolation.

Barbados’ confirmed COVID-19 cases stand at 83,242 (37,941 males and 45,301 females), and the number of deaths is 472. The public health laboratory has carried out 699,191 tests since February 2020.

Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, the total number of persons with at least one dose is 162,475 (71.1 per cent of the eligible population). 

The total number of fully vaccinated persons is 153,318 (56.6 per cent of the total population or 67.1 per cent of the eligible population).  The eligible population represents those persons who are 12 years and older.
