Thirty new COVID-19 cases, 10 males and 20 females, were recorded on Tuesday, September 28, from the 309 tests conducted by laboratories across the island.

Of the positive cases, three persons were under the age of 18, and 27 were 18 years and older. There were 28 people in isolation facilities, while 199 were in home isolation. As at September 28, there were 559 COVID-19 related deaths.

The laboratories conducted 765,378 tests since February 2020, and recorded 102,546 COVID-19 cases (46,385 males and 56,161 females).

Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, the total number of persons with at least one dose is 163,636 (71.6 per cent of the eligible population).

The total number of fully vaccinated persons is 154,657 (57.1 per cent of the total population or 67.7 per cent of the eligible population). The eligible population represents those persons who are 12 years and older.
