A visitor to the island tested positive for COVID-19 after a second test for the viral illness yesterday.
The 29-year-old man, from the United States, was in quarantine up to yesterday when he was retested, five days after his initial negative PCR test on August 12. He has now been transferred to isolation at Harrison Point, St. Lucy.
Meanwhile, no one leaves the isolation facility today, so the numbers there have increased to 24. There are now 153 confirmed cases in Barbados, and 122 people have recovered.
The Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory completed 132 tests yesterday, bringing the total to date to 14,674.
