One new case of COVID-19 has been recorded among the 346 tests completed by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory yesterday.  This brings the number of confirmed cases to 181, comprising 94 females and 87 males.

The 43-year-old female visitor, who is asymptomatic, arrived in Barbados on September 6, aboard Caribbean Airlines from Jamaica, having travelled there from the United States of America.  Her positive result came after a second test, and she is now in isolation at Harrison Point, St. Lucy.

Meanwhile, there will be six persons discharged from the isolation facility today, bringing the number of persons there to 10.  The total recoveries have now increased to 164.            

To date, 19,790 tests were completed by the public health laboratory.
