There were six new positive cases of COVID-19 on Sunday, and 10 people were discharged from isolation.
These were the only positives – two women and four men – among the 819 tests conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory. The results represent a mixture of locals and visitors.
Of the six new cases, two are male inmates from Her Majesty’s Prisons, Dodds. The total number of cases at HMP Dodds is now 227 – 58 staff members and 169 inmates.
There are now 478 people in isolation. To date, Barbados has recorded 884 confirmed cases – 368 females and 516 males. Additionally, 399 persons have recovered from the viral illness.
The public health laboratory has completed 83,905 tests since March 2020.
