On Monday, November 8, 2021, there were 677 persons recorded in isolation facilities as at 9:00 a.m.

Of these, 519 patients (77 per cent) were unvaccinated, and 121 (18 per cent) were fully vaccinated. Of those fully vaccinated, three were in primary isolation, and 118 patients were in tertiary isolation; of the unvaccinated, 45 were in primary isolation while 474 were in tertiary isolation.

Primary isolation for COVID-19 patients in Barbados are units which accommodate those who are very ill and need close monitoring and treatment. Tertiary isolation houses patients who are only mildly ill or not showing illness.

It is important to note that the number of persons in isolation is fluid and changes throughout the day as persons are admitted and discharged.
