A demand from secondary schools for the Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development to conduct workshops on creative writing will be met this month when the Media Resource Department (MRD) offers two three-day summer workshops from Monday, July 23 to Wednesday, July 25.
The workshops Entitled Creative Writing, will target over 45 teachers from both primary and secondary schools and aim to improve their skills set and ability to impart knowledge to students.
Sessions for primary school teachers will be held in the auditorium of the MRD, while those for secondary teachers will be conducted in the Main Conference Room of the Ministry of Education, Elsie Payne Complex, Constitution Road, St. Michael. Each session will run from 9.00 a.m. until noon.
Facilitators for the workshop will be Phelan Lowe and Celeste St. Hill, who work in conjunction with the National Cultural Foundation.
