Barbadians with an interest in studying in Cuba may now apply for scholarships currently on offer by that country for the academic year 2016-2017.

The scholarships are available for undergraduate and post graduate courses in the areas of Medicine and Health Technologies.??Applicants must be citizens of Barbados between the ages of 18 and 25.

They must possess five subjects at the Caribbean Examinations Council general proficiency level, inclusive of at least three of the four following subjects: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology at grades 1 or 2.

They must also be holders of a degree and be prepared to travel by the second week of August. English Language is compulsory for all areas of study.

For further information and application forms, prospective students may visit the Tertiary Section, Ministry of Education Science, Technology and Innovation at the Elsie Payne Complex, Constitution Road, St. Michael.??Completed forms must be submitted to that section no later than Friday, May 6.
