Those persons who lost their lives in the Cubana Airlines crash just off the West Coast of the island will be remembered this coming Sunday, October 6, during a wreath laying ceremony.

The ceremony will be held at the monument erected in honour of the victims at Payne???s Bay, St. James. It will commence at 10:30 a.m.

Minister of State in the Prime Minister???s Office, Patrick Todd, will deliver remarks on behalf of Government; while the Cuban Ambassador, Lissette P??rez P??rez, will speak on behalf of her Government. There will also be addresses by other interest groups.

The airline was brought down on October 6, 1976, by a terrorist attack. All 78 people on board the Douglas DC-8 aircraft were killed in what was then described as the deadliest terrorist airline attack in the Western Hemisphere.
