Barbados will once again pay homage to the victims of the Cubana air disaster tomorrow, Wednesday, October 6.

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Senator Maxine McClean and Ambassador to the Republic of Cuba, Luisette P??rez P??rez, and Dean of the Diplomatic Corps, Ambassador Juan Carlos Valdez Gonzales will each lay wreaths to commemorate the 34th anniversary of the tragedy.

The ceremony is scheduled to get under way at noon at the Monument, Paynes Bay, St. James.

Cubana flight 455 crashed just off Barbados, following a terrorist attack on October 6, 1976. All 73 persons, 48 passengers and 25 crew, perished aboard the Douglas DC-8 aircraft.

The Monument was erected in memory of the persons who lost their lives on that date. clashley@barbados.gov.bb
