Government has decided to extend the existing curfew from January 14, until January 31.

The curfew was implemented on January 2nd to allow the government to better assess an outbreak of COVID-19 cases in Barbados.

The curfew is intended to restrict activity and movement which could lead to the further spread of the disease on the island.

The extension of the curfew will restrict the gathering of crowds which might also create conditions for increased COVID infections.

A full update on the current situation will be given at a press conference tomorrow Thursday, January 14.
