The Barbados Postal Service has advised its customers that all mail should be weighed and the correct postage used in order to ensure timely delivery.

According to Postmaster General, Joel Brathwaite, "Failure to do so, results in mail being delayed as persons have to be contacted to pay the additional postage or the mail is sent back via surface airlift."

The public is also reminded that charges and fees for postal services were increased with effect from May 18.

Information regarding the rates may be obtained from any post office, or from the website: http://www.bps.gov.bb/.
