A number of local Customs officers stand to benefit from a half-day workshop to be put on next Monday, January 9, by the National Committee for the Prevention of Alcoholism and Drug Dependency (NCPADD).

The session, which will be held at the Warrens Office Complex, Warrens, St. Michael, is designed to enhance the officers’ knowledge of anti-drug legislation, the impact of illicit drugs on the family, and rehabilitation support that is available.

The theme for the workshop is Action for Prevention, and this forms part of the activities for the 23rd Annual Drug Awareness month.?? During this month, officials from NCPADD will be visiting a number of government departments and other agencies to educate public officers about the dangers of illegal drugs.

Monday’s workshop runs from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.??????????
