When the University in the Community Lunchtime Lecture Series continues on Thursday, October 25, Dr. Didacus Jules, Registrar and Chief Executive Officer of the Caribbean Examinations Council will be the presenter.

Dr. Jules will speak on the topic The Challenges of Education in the Contemporary Caribbean in the Grande Salle of the Central Bank of Barbados, The City, from noon until 1:15 p.m.

It is timely, as the Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development commemorates 50 Years of Universal Free Public Education (1962-2012) on the island and Education Month in October, under the theme Celebrating 50: Free Education For All.

The lecture series is organised by the University of the West Indies’ Open Campus in collaboration with the Central Bank.

Members of the public are invited to attend.
