The Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC), in conjunction with the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, will conduct a series of stakeholder engagements on February 15 and 22.

The 2016 outreach targets members of CXC???s National Committee and the National Council for Parent Teachers??? Associations (NCPTA); representatives of private educational institutions, for instance, the Metropolitan School; and third-form students, who are to be accompanied by parents.

The sessions will take the form of a town hall meeting, with a brief presentation given by CXC representatives and followed by questions.

The presentation will treat to the Caribbean Certificate of Secondary Level Competence (CCSLC), the new generation subjects being offered and the overall value which the range of CXC products can bring to the educational landscape.

On Monday, February 15, there will be a meeting with the CXC National Committee from 10:00 a.m. to noon, while from 2:30 to 4:00 p.m., the CXC and the Ministry will meet with the NCPTA. Both will be held at CXC???s Headquarters, Prince Road, Pine, St. Michael.

The meeting with third form students and their parents will occur on Monday, February 22, at New Dimensions Ministries, Barbarees Hill, St. Michael, from 3:30 to 6:00 p.m. Registrar of CXC, Glenroy Cumberbatch, will address the sessions, which are expected to be interactive and informative.
