Senior citizens are being invited to find out more about how they can protect themselves when on the internet, by registering for a Cybercrime Awareness Workshop on Friday, November 21, at the Accra Beach Resort and Spa, Rockley, Christ Church, from 9:45 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Director of the National Task Force on Crime Prevention, Cheryl Willoughby, will deliver the opening remarks, while there will also be presentations on cybercrime by members of the Royal Barbados Police Force, the Cyber Security Centre, and Knox Consultancy Services.

Areas such as hacking, spyware, worms, Trojan viruses and cybercriminals will be in focus during the workshop, as persons encourage seniors to: Know the Signs: Together We can Prevent Cybercrime.

Interested persons are asked to register with the Barbados Association of Retired Persons by Wednesday, November 19, as numbers are limited.??
