Members of the public are invited to come out and view the beauty of the island’s northern coastlines during a coastal walk on Saturday, June 11, beginning at 3:00 p.m.

Hosted by the Coastal Zone Management Unit (CZMU), the coastal walk will journey from Cove Bay to River Bay, St. Lucy.

Bus transportation to and from St. Lucy is available, and persons desirous of travelling on the buses are encouraged to visit the CZMU office at Warrens Tower II, Warrens, St. Michael, from tomorrow, Wednesday, June 8, to collect their tickets.

On Saturday, buses will leave the Warrens Tower II, Warrens, St. Michael car park at 2:15 p.m. sharp, en route to Cove Bay, St. Lucy.

COVID-19 protocols will be in place and persons are encouraged to walk with hand sanitiser and masks, and observe social distancing.  They should also wear comfortable shoes, loose clothing and walk with water.

This is the final activity to be held during Environment Week, which began on June 5, under the theme: Living Sustainably…Our Island…One Earth.
