The Coastal Zone Management Unit (CZMU) in collaboration with the Caribbean Youth Environment Network (Barbados chapter) will host the final underwater clean-up on Saturday, September 10, off Payne’s Bay Beach, Payne’s Bay, St. James, beginning at 8:00 a.m.

Scuba divers and other interested persons are asked to meet in the beach access adjacent to Sandy Lane 1, (The Sands), St. James at 7:30 a.m. All interested persons should contact the CZMU at 622-1610 by Wednesday, September 7.

The clean-up activities formed part of a larger project called CleanBim which brings together agencies, companies and non-governmental organisations to engage the public, create awareness and encourage residents to clean Barbados and keep the environment clean.

They were held on the second Saturday over a four-month period ranging from June to September. All are invited.
