It’s Sundown Beach walk time again!
The Coastal Zone Management Unit (CZMU) is again inviting nature lovers, health enthusiasts, Barbadians and visitors alike, to participate in another of its Sundown Beach / Coastline/ Cliff top walks.
Scheduled to take place on Saturday, March 13, it will leave Bath, St. John at 3:15 p.m. sharp en route to Bathsheba, St. Joseph.
Bus transportation will be provided from the CZMU’s car park on Bay Street, St. Michael, and persons utilising this service are asked to assemble there by 2:00 p.m. for a prompt 2:15 p.m. departure.???? Return transportation will also be provided.
Participants are advised to come prepared to walk on the cliff top or coastline, by wearing comfortable clothes, preferably long jeans or slacks and walking shoes or sneakers. Close fitting clothing, flip flops and similar footwear are not advisable, since the walk will cover challenging terrain.
Bus tickets may be collected from the CZMU between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. daily. Persons are being encouraged to capitalise on this excellent opportunity to merge health and the environment.??cgaskin@barbados.gov.bb
